In contrast to the cold and wind outside, I spent all day in an overheated courtroom.
All day from 8:30am to 5:30pm and there is still no jury empaneled. I hope to find out tomorrow if I am on the jury or not. There is nothing like the maneuvering of attorneys in a multiple felony case to bring out the worst of the jury selection process. Thus my new theme song:
Hi ho, hi ho
It's off to court I go
Defense to the right of me
Prosecution to the left of me
And the judge in the front of me
How low can we go
So off to court I venture in the morning.
True sentences start when they are in I private prison. Until then, they can fear, but with loving respites! The same treatment goes for all. There are only so many spaces in prison. Realism is the order of the day!
ReplyDeleteSorry to rant, I like to philosophise!
Thank you. Take wonderful and gentle care. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Court equals yuck. Good for you in doing your civic duty--at least you are not available to listen to all the Broncos talk during the day.
ReplyDeleteFall? That sure sounds like winter to me! Good luck in court- not sure if you actually want to be on the jury or not so I hope it goes your way.
ReplyDeleteugh, good luck! We're having tornado weather here..I'll trade you!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only person who is ever looking forward to jury duty? Granted I've only gone once when I lived in the US...however, I did use to look forward to seeing if I would get called in to serve.
ReplyDeletejury duty sucks. Here's hoping you are not seated.
ReplyDeleteJury duty can be an interesting experience, I hope :) Fingers crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteWell, by this time it's over and done. Were you on the jury??
ReplyDeleteAnd here I am with my winter coat (southerns only own one winter coat and it lasts for a lifetime over here) with temperatures at 60 degrees. Lol.
